01.IMPROVING MY VALUES
This semester, I aimed to enhance my values of better time management, focus and, seeking for more feedback regarding my work. Working on the group projects alongside with my portfolio, turned out as an excellent opportunity to grow in those areas. To improve my time management and focus, I used Trello, which motivated me to stay on track with my tasks and time spans I decided on, by having them clearly outlined. In terms of seeking and being more open to receiving feedback, I started by engaging with my teachers and classmates more. During the group projects, I also had the opportunity to receive feedback from a real client. This proved to be very efficient in determining the flow of my work. Frequent communication and asking the right questions, was essential to tailor the outcome that would satisfy both the client and me.

02.DETERMINING MY CORE VALUES
In one of the classes, I had the opportunity to start with the fundamentals for discovering my core values, find out what type of a person I am, what my future goal are, and how can I achieve them. This class was given to us, so that we can understand this learning outcome better. Along with some guidance, and a lot of communication with my classmates, I completed a series of little assignments to build a start for the mentioned things.

After discussing with my classmates about their perceptions of me, there were a few values that emerged creativity, respect, and self-reliance. Reflecting on their feedback, I was pleased because those values genuinely resonate with my personality and approach to work. I always had a passion for design, hence why I want to continue in that direction. I respect others and their opinions, and I always try to integrate both my ideas and those of my peers into the final product when working in a group. Despite this, I have a preference of working independently, whether on a personal project or individual task within a group. This preference comes from my desire to managing my own schedule and having my own way of expressing through creativity.

03.MY FUTURE
During the workshop where I worked on my core values, one of the assignments was also related to my future goals. I had the time to think and visualize the steps which would bring me towards my end goal. Since I’m still not sure which path I want to take, I decided to narrow it down and see what the requirements are.

For now, I am aiming for Graphic Design the most, since I genuinely enjoy designing for different mediums and expressing my creativity through my own style. For this, I need a deep understanding of design principles, different design tools and a way of standing out, so that my ideas can be seen and known more. My plan is to become more professional and familiar with tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud in the next year time span, and then start building my portfolio and social network with my ideas and designs. After that, I would slowly aim to becoming a freelancer in this field, accepting small jobs, and doing an internship while still a student.
